These complex engineering operations require equal amounts of skill and courage and in some of the world's most dangerous waters, anything can - and will - happen.

Beached off the coast of Blackpool, England, the salvors battle to right the capsized ferry, Riverdance. They need to work fast to remove the oil and lighten the ferry, but immense storms hamper their every move. Meanwhile, another team of salvors get read
y to board Adriyatik, a burning ferry drifting ablaze off the coast of Croatia. Venturing deep into the bowels to fight the raging blaze, crews worry if the ship will sink before the salvors can extinguish the fire.

Off the North East coast of Japan, a Russian coal carrier, Jane, is stuck on the rocks and is being battered by the Pacific Ocean. After helicopters manage to get all 17 crew members to safety, a crack team is sent to pump the coal from the ship to refloat her. Despite state-of-the-art salvage gear, a huge battle with the elements ensues pushing the team to their limits. Then, in Mexico, an old ferry, Arcangel, has run aground charging the crew with clearing away the deteriorating vessel before its oil spills onto the stunning Cancun coastline.

In the Straits of Gibraltar - the treacherous gateway to the Mediterranean - a bulk carrier, New Flame, has collided with an oil tanker and is sinking fast. As water floods into her engine room, New Flame is in dire danger of disappearing completely, spilling almost 30,000 tonnes of scrap metal cargo - spelling environmental disaster for the entire region. Meanwhile, after heavy seas and the Japanese typhoon season battered Jane off the coast of Japan, the salvors must once again attempt to refloat her.
