Charlie Martell is attempting to conquer the North Pacific Ocean, by rowing solo approximately 10,000 kilometers from Japan to the U.S. The veteran British soldier who specialized in bomb disposal, is no stranger to danger. Martel's trip is fraught with challenges as it passes "The Pacific Ring of Fire," an area where large numbers of earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions occur often and without warning.
